Hi!

How do I add the text 'END-OF-FILE' to the end of a text file that is created by spool?

Example:
spool /directory/text_file.txt;
select ...
;
spool off;
exit;

Thanks-for-your-help,

Can you elaborate on what spool is?
What language are you using and how exactly are you creating the text file?

Spool is an Oracle SQL PLUS command that allows you to create text files as output files.

I see that the spool command, in Oracle 10g, now has the option of append (to append to the given spool file). That is a good enhancement, but I am not using Oracle 10g.
