to piggy-back on the answer, you could 'paste special' from the menu bar, right-click on the 'new' cell or, and that's what I've done, modify the icon ?!? bar and add another icon. You'll find 'Paste special' under Command Tab->Edit-Paste Special

Frank

aaargh, too early once again.

There's a special 'Paste special' icon with which you don't even need to select what should be done with the value. It inserts the copied value straight as value without formula

Cheers,
Frank
