Pepper writes "I'm a technical trainer. I can explain how my product graphically builds SQL query statements. But I'm not a database expert and am often stumped on how to explain to students when to use a local join (join the results set as a table in another query), a local limit join (use the value in one query as the limit value in a 2nd query), a subquery and a correlated subquery. My standard, "it depends on your business question" just isn't cutting it anymore. Are there any basic rules?
Thanks
Pepper" |
