                                            | Hi,When I look at a Linked server (I have admin role on the instance) I can see that the linked server (Linked server - properties - security), is set to "Be made using this security context" with a username and password. Another person in my company, when he check the same thing, he sees "not be made". If we look at the "create" script of the linked server, I see the login username and he doesn't. Obviously it is the security setting, but how can I permission him on a linked server? Thanks for your reply. | |

                                          | Are you sure that you and your co-worker are both connected to (looking at) the same server? Because that doesn't make sense, you should both see the same thing.Be One with the OptimizerTG |
