As brought up in this thread: http://www.sqlteam.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=181615

Anything to say on the subject of the moon landings being a hoax has been FULLY covered here: http://www.braeunig.us/space/hoax.htm

I really, REALLY hope rasta is kidding.

Ancient internet wisdom: don't feed the trolls.

I locked the topic since it seems the original question was answered, and the other debates can take place in Yak Corral, or other sites, or not at all.

I didn't reply because Rasta seemed unwilling to actually come out and say directly that he thought the moon landings were faked. Not sure why, since he strongly suggested it.

Not sure if it was a troll. In the same thread he implied that humans had existed for only 2,000 years, and that was in addition to the original post where he wanted to insert 7.18E+23 rows into a table, something many orders of magnitude beyond the limits of SQL Server or any physical server.

yikes! that's an Avagadro size number! it's a bit more than a mole of rows. what's the atomic weight of a row?

I think only string theory can calculate the atomic weight of a row of data.

I'm sure we've all tried to insert more than that - would be nice to get a record count of how far it got before you realised your mistake or the server crashed.

>> moon landings being a hoax
Does it really matter as long as it done convincingly?
Would you rather believe that the world didn't have a space program or would you prefer an elaborate hoax?
Red pill or blue pill?

I've been pretending that I can write working code for years - fortunately the users pretend it's what they want too.

Cursors are useful if you don't know sql.
SSIS can be used in a similar way.
