I always get a kick when I get these emailsquote: • B.S. in Computer Science or another engineering discipline • Strong interest in database platforms (well Duh)• Solid SQL programming skills• Ability to quickly adapt to new technologies • Capacity to work within complex systems and large data sets • Familiarity with one or more of the following technologies: o Object Oriented languages (No thanks) o Scripting (Bash, Python, Perl, Powershell) (Ditto)o Database systems (SQL, Oracle, MySQL, Vertica, Solr) (They Left out Access and Excel)o Process and automation design o Data modeling (Should be at the top of the list)o Big Data Analytics (Hadoop, NoSQL, Cloud Computing) (ooo...scary)• Professional, detail-oriented, and energetic personality, with the ability to work well in an agile team environment

They forgot the "Must be able to lift 30 lbs."Never understood that requirement. Maybe they want to be sure you are able to replace the water jug. |

I received one a few weeks ago that I just had to respond to. I normally just ignore them, but this one was priceless. I wish I saved it to share with you.My response to the headhunter was basically there is probably one person in the entire world with that skill set and good lucking finding the person.
