I used to use the sql full text search in one of my databases
this database is not used any more. Currently the other database (live ones) do not use the sql full text (I have no catalog no contain functions etc). If I stopped this service i.e. right click the mssqlfuldlauncher service and stopped it. Will that affect my database I want to reserve memory.

Thanks

sarah

There are no issues with this. We have it installed on our clusters, are not using it, the stupid thing is failing, so we just deleted the cluster resource. No issues with this.

If nothing is using it, then feel free to stop and disable it. I doubt it's going to buy you much memory though.
