I run sp_lock SessionID on a select statement. sp_lock returns that there are several (5) locks which are identical - what does it mean? These are TAB IS locks (intent shared) on the same table. I can't see why there would be more than 1 identical lock - is there some other way of seeing more detail that might show how these are different in some way? |

If the query is being processed on multiple threads, then more than one thread could have the same status.=======================================Faced with the choice between changing one's mind and proving that there is no need to do so, almost everyone gets busy on the proof. -John Kenneth Galbraith |
