I have this DB which had corrupted.I tried to build the database with checkdb but with no avail.Fortunately I had backups with less than 3 mins of data loss.

Just wanted to know what is the reason for this corruption.I ran DBCC CHECKFILEGROUP and following are the errors.Also there was nothing fishy found on the windows error log.We have bunch of other databases on the same disk and they seem to be running file.

How can I find the root cause for this ?

Corruption - 99% hardware errors (disk or memory are the most common) 1% bugs in SQL Server.

I'd do some disk diagnostics. Had any hard power outages recently? SAN errors?

We did had a bit of power issue.

There were no hardware errors in the windows error log.Also not sure how is that the other databases on the same disk are running fine.Should I keep an eye of them ?

Power outages along with incorrectly configured write caches (or flat batteries) cause all sorts of fun, including nasty corruptions.

Yes now I remember talking to one of the SAN guys sometime back and he was saying that keeping write cache enabled will corrupt the files if there is an power issue.

I need to check whether write cache is enabled on our system.Can you let me know whether is it a good or bad idea to keep it enabled because it does provide faster disk writes if enabled.

If it's enabled, it MUST be battery-backed and with enough battery that the entire contents of the cache can be written to disk if there's a power failure.
