"real world" example and how to manage thse problems

Client has thousands of databases..how do you solve backups, recovery, security reporting

I said I would have walked out if they didn't want to do a rewrite

I'm shooting for PASS 2012. I figured I'll be allowed one conference/training event, so I'm going to set my sights on PASS. If I can maintain my MVP (they are making it harder to get/keep), I may volunteer as an MVP to get the discount to help influence my company.
