I have a legacy DTS running in SQL Server 2008 using dtsrun inside a SQL Agent job. My problem - if there is an error inside the DTS the job is still reporting success. How do I flag an error? |

Is the job step set to On failure action: Quit the job reporting failure (under Advanced for the job step)?- LumbagoMy blog-> http://thefirstsql.com/2011/07/08/how-to-find-gaps-in-identity-columns-at-the-speed-of-light/ |

The job itself is reporting success because the procedure executing dtsrun runs ok, the error is inside the dts. I am currently re-writing the DTS as a merge statement. So thanks anyway. |
