Log shipping won't impact full or differential backups. It would replace any existing log backup plan you have, more or less, as it handles those backups for you. As long as the log shipping jobs remain active you'll be covered.You could modify existing log backup jobs to check the log shipping tables: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms175106.aspxAnd have it skip over any databases that are being log shipped. If the log shipping is deactivated, that job would detect it and back up the log accordingly. I've done this a few times and it works well. |
