Seems like we will be implementing OpenText. This will be the largest implementation we have...10's of terabytes I believe...

I asking the team here to review the questions below, what else would you ask

quote:

1- SQL Server Version

2- How long environment has been deployed

3- Number of DB Servers (CPU / Mem)

4- DB configuration that are not standard.

5- Application Database Size and layout

6- Tempdb size and layout

7- Volume of transaction / Number of concurrent connections

8- Maintenance - List and duration approach taken. (Backup, DBCC, Update Stat, Reorg)

9- Page/Row compression

10- DR setup

11- System change - OS upgrade - application upgrade. Approach, frequency.

12- Known issues.

13- Overall stability and performance.

Conf call over.

The majority of rollouts use Oracle

But this German Copy went SQL Server

16 Quad Cores
80 GB Memory
On 6 boxes

This should be fun
