Hi Everyone,We're using a piece of search software to see where SQL Server 2008 is installed in our corporation. Does anyone know of one file (dll, exe etc...) that is unique to SQL Server 2008 rather than 2005/2000? I know they are installed into the 100 folder rather than 80 or 90, but I am looking for a uniquely named file if there is one?Essentially I'm looking for database engine services installations. Thanks in advance ,Gavin |

Get MAP (Microsoft Assessment and Planning). It's free and it can find all the SQL installations on the network and their versions.--Gail ShawSQL Server MVP |

Unfortunately after downloading MAP and trying to install, one of the pre-requisites is Office 2007, which we don't have. |
