1. Check if SQL Server service is running via the SQL Server Configuration Manager or the Services control panel.2. Post the error messages you're getting when you attempt to log in.3. Contact Adobe customer support either way and see if they can help.4. Try uninstalling ColdFusion and see if that fixes it. |

Are you trying to connect with named pipes or TCP/IP?In SQL Configuration Manager, look under Network Configuration, then Protocols for your SQLEXPRESS instance. Make sure Named Pipes and TCP/IP are both enabled. If you have to re-enable either of them, you'll need to restart your SQL Server service. |

Try customer support for Adobe and Microsoft. You could try this beforehand, just in case they can't help:1. Stop all the SQL Server services.2. Copy your user database and log files (NOT master, model, or msdb) to a safe location. You want .MDF and .LDF (and .NDF if any) files.3. Uninstall and reinstall SQLExpress. Make sure you can connect.4. Attach the database files. You can try with the original files (they should still be in the original folder), or try attaching the copies.Make sure that no SQL services are running before you copy the files, otherwise you could corrupt the databases. Don't worry about preserving the system databases, they'll get overwritten anyway. |
