I started a restore on a database backup, however, the database is about 48 gb . Within the first 15 minutes, it reached up to 90% complete, but has been stuck there since. Is this normal? I have been reading that it should take about 3 minutes per gb, so this should take about 2.5 hours? Also, is it important to put the server on standby during this process? |

I read someone say they did that, but I thought standby is similar to ... putting the system to sleep, no? |

you should run restore command with stats=n that will show how much restore completed. let the restore run for some hours and then check. Since the database is big, it will take time to complete. |
