I've done quite a bit of research on this particular issue, and can not find anyone that has run into this error in regards to an Execution Plan.Starting a few days ago (I can't pin exactly when or what may have been installed right around it) SQL Server Manamgement Studio began throwing a "Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation." error whenever I press the "Display Estimated Excecution Plan" or when "Include Actual Execution Plan" is enabled and I run the query to review. This happens on all databases, both user as well as system and I have never come across it before. In addition to the error, and I'm certain a releated issue, the query plan does not show up at any time. The tab does not show up in the results at all so I'm guessing it's related to an object on the tab that's failing to instantiate, But what it is, or a fix I do not know.I have uninstalled, reinstalled SQL Server 2008R2 including moving everything to a different Instance name.Does anyone happen to have a suggestion for me?Environment:Windows 7 - 64Bit8GB MemorySQL Server 2008R2 (I even installed 2011's SSMS and it does the same thing!!)Any thoughts or suggestions are greatly appreciated!Scott Wilkosscott@wilkos.netDevelopment Team Lead - CCS Inc. |
