i have not used Sql Server 2008 software before, apologies if this is in the wrong topic.I amd trying to install the Sql Server 2008 software on an XP professional machine.I cannot get past the server Configuration where it wants some sort of login or password. On a different computer it installed without any problems or issues. On my machine it fails. I have reinstalled XP pro so it could be something missing!thanks |

the full message is as follows. Nothing I enter helps. As I said it installed without a problem on another XP machine and did not want anything entered, the NEXT button was all that was necessary.[Error Message]The specified credentials that were provided for the SQL Server service are not valid. To continue, provide a valid account and password for the SQL Server service.[Details]Microsoft.SqlServer.Configuration.SqlEngine.ValidationException: The specified credentials that were provided for the SQL Server service are not valid. To continue, provide a valid account and password for the SQL Server service.================================================================================ |
