hey guys, Im new to this forum but I had a few questions. Over the past 2-3 months, our SQL database seems to be inaccessible. It is online/mounted, and it can be queried in SQL. However, on our GUI, its reporting errors. I dont think this is coding, since nothing has changed. What seems to work is if I kick off a backup within SQL. Once the SQL backup is done, then the database is accessible again. Im not sure what the backup could be doing that causes it to work, and I have tried to find the white papers on the backup policy, but I was unsuccessful. Do you all have any ideas for me?

thanks

What are the exact error messages you're getting?

What do you see in the event logs and SQL Server logs?
