Where is the bottleneck when it hits the wall? Memory (Buffer or Windows) what is PLE normally, and what is it when it hits the tipping point? Disk? What is typical Disk Latency, what is it when you hit the tipping point? Processor, what is normal/abnormal?? Once you ID the bottleneck, you can dive deeper into what is causing it, and perhaps alleviate it.-Chad |

Thanks Chad. The Perf Monitor stats are here: http://www.sqlteam.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=153373&whichpage=2#603398Trouble is I don't see anything that indicates that it is resource bound. We have significant contention for something, but all locks are releases promptly - its just that we can't satisfy all the customers that "walk in the door" but we have Memory, CPU and Disk to spare ... |
