Dear mates,
I want to set a database to snapshot-isolation.
Before I can do this I need to deactivate the replication.
Type of replication is Transactional.

What is to do for this?
Is it just to stop the Log Reader Agent then do my work and then again start th Log reader Agent?

Thanks for your replies.

I don't think you need to stop replication. you need to be sure there aren't a lot of current transactions though

OK - you think if there are no transactions then there is nothing to do for the replication and I can go on to make my changes to snapshot-isolation.
Thank you, I will try it.

As far as I know, the only thing that has to be stopped to switch the isolation level is database mirroring.

Good choice on switching the isolation level! We've been using READ_COMMITTED_SNAPSHOT on our heavy transaction databases for a couple of years now. It made a huge performance improvement, plus got rid of most of the deadlocks.
