My boss wants me to look into our SQL data being backed up to the internet. Not a problem I guess, I seem to see various companies that offer this. My question is...our databases are so large how does this backup work? For instance, we have one application made up of about 7 seperate databases - one of which contains scanned images that is almost 196 GB large. If any of you have experience or recommendations concerning this please let me know. Currenty the database(s) are being backed up to tape with Backup Exec 12 online backup and taken off-site the next day. |

My suggestion:1) Backup the databases to a local drive using whatever tool you want.2) Copy the backup files to the target site.=======================================There are no passengers on spaceship earth. We are all crew. -Marshall McLuhan, educator and philosopher (1911-1980) |
