I think 15 minutes is a good interval for Transaction Log Backup.

Full backup is up to you - how long will it take you to recover from Full Backup and all following TLog backups?

How much data can you afford to lose if, say, the Tlog backups are damaged?

Differential backup is to speed up the restore process. SO you may take Full backup every 3 days, and differential backup twice a day - then you can recover:

Full backup
Diff backup
All tlog backups (maximum is half-a-day's worth)
