Folks, I was just lucky enough to receive a Windows 7 based laptop at my new job. I am attempting to install the SQL Server 2008 Developer Edition and I am getting an error. It states:"This program has known compatibility issues. Check on-line to see if solutions are available from the Microsoft website. If solutions are found, Windows will automatically display a website that lists steps you can take."I check and get a dialog with the following:"Your version of SQL Server 2008 isn't compatible with this version of Windows. An update is available that solves this problem.Click to download the update from the Microsoft Corporation website"I click and it transfers me to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/968382 which has 3 versions of the SP1 service pack. I have not been able to find anywhere on their pages if the service pack is really what I need.Any thoughts and/or ideas?JohnIt's a small world (but I wouldn't want to paint it) |
