Hi All,

My passive node is undergoing some maintenance on a two node cluster.

Is there any way to make sure that the resources should not failover to the passive node if the services are restarted on the active node due to some issue on it.

Yes, you can remove the passive node as a possible owner in Cluster Administrator.

Hi,

Is it like pause the cluster service on the second node.

Thanks,

just pause the node ..... this will prevent any resources from attempting to start on the passive node.

good practice: you are at risk of the server going offline if it experiences any issues during your passive node work. make sure you still do your work out of hours and be prepared for an error. we all know from long experience that "what can go wrong, will go wrong"
