If you were a Data Architect (& experienced Administrator) specializing in Microsoft SQL Server and you could only attend 1 week of offsite training a year, what would be the best bang for the buck? I'm mainly interested in getting the most knowledge possible out of any trip. I've been to Tech Ed multiple times but the company views conferences unfavorably. Too bad, because I've always wanted to go to the SQL PASS Summit. |

I always wanted to go to PASS myself, but other than that I guess some kind of classroom training would be my best option. Maybe our sponsors have something sensible going on? "...a 4 day SQL Server Performance Tuning class in warm, sunny Orlando starting on March 22nd" doesn't sound too bad actually (I have no connection whatsoever to the sponsor)- LumbagoIf the facts don't fit the theory, change the facts.
