Hi,I am trying to backup my SQL databse using SQL Management studio 2005, the issue I am having is that the option to backup to disk is greyed out and only tape appears.Does anyone know why this would happen? |

Have you tried "backup database my_db to disk='<my_backup_path\my_db.bak'> ?Jack Vamvas--------------------http://www.ITjobfeed.com |

I resolved the problem, by unistalling the management studio and the disk option was no longer greyed out. |

No never used tape, I just went to backup as normal and the only option was tape, after the reinstall tape was greyed out again and disk was now available. |
