Hi,Through endless amounts of google'n and reading i'm still no closer to an answer, until i stumbled upon this forum! I wonder if anyone will be able to help?Basically i have...Windows XP 32 Bit OSAMD Athlon 64 ProcessorI'm trying to install SQL 2005 Enterprise 32 bit (being a 32 bit OS) but when it comes to install it is telling me there is hardware compatibility issues and won't install SQL server... Is there anyway around this? Unfortunately i cannot go down the route of installing XP 64 bit.Thank you in advance.Tomo |

Hi Tkizer,Thanks for your quick reply. I downloaded the developer edition and I get further than usual, now i'm getting this error message when installing the SQL Server Database Services."The computer running SQL Server setup does not meet minimum system requirements for this SQL Server release. Microsoft SQL Server is not supported on this operating system. For details see Hardware and Software Requirements in the readme of in SQL Server books online."I have a feeling it just doesn't like the AMD processor being x64... Any other suggestions? Thanks again,Tomo |
