what are .tuf files and how is it different from .trn, I dont see tuf files created in regular tran log backup job (atlest i have not absorved creating.tuf file) but i see them often in logshipping.

It's the undo file that is needed to keep the secondary server in the read-only state. If you used the norecovery state instead, you wouldn't have that file on the secondary server.
