| Hi there,I'm trying to install SQL Server 2008 Standard Edition for Small Business on an x64 install of Windows Server 2008 Standard. I've tried both the x86 and x64 SQL installs and get the same failing installation rule check:Rule "Operating system supported for edition" failed.This SQL Server edition is not supported on this operating system. See SQL Server Books Online for information about supported operating systems for SQL Small Business Server Edition.Am I missing something here or is the installer just broken? Are there any updates I need to install to my base Windows installation before I attempt the SQL install?Thanks, Shareef. |
