Hi there..I am using SQL Server 2008 Standard on Windows Server 2008. I am looking for the option in MSDTC to "Enable TIP Transactions" and I can't seem to find it anywhere. I've located all the other DTC security options in dcomcnfg, but Enable TIP Transactions seems to be missing. Are there any command line arguments available to change that value? Thanks for any help!-Greg |

Thanks Fred.Unfortunately it doesn't help. The first website lists instructions that aren't for Server 2008 and the 2nd one doesn't address Enabling TIP.Any other ideas? |

it is removed on purpose. you'll need to manually edit the registry to enable TIP on server 2k8. see here: http://blogs.msdn.com/chrisforster/archive/2008/02/19/msdtc-in-windows-vista-and-windows-server-2008-removal-of-the-tip-checkbox.aspx |
