I setup a differential backup that occurs every 3hs, starts at 8am and ends at 5pm. At the end of the day I only have 3 files at 9:18am, 11am, and 2pm, although there was supposed to be files at 8am, 11am, 2pm and 5pm. Anyone know what I did wrong?

I think, I know what is going on. All this setup is done on my personal computer. So the power goes off when I close the lid therefore the backups don't run properly on time.

well if you turn it off, or let it hibernate (which it probably does when u shut the lid) then it's not running...no programs are running including services.
