Hi All
I am going to be setting up DB mirroring in 2005 i have everything pretty well mapped out but i am confused on the required service accounts for DB mirroring.

I read the following and was more confused:
"When using Windows Authentication, if the server instances use different accounts, specify the service accounts for SQL Server. These service accounts must all be domain accounts (in the same or trusted domains)."

Are they refering to the SQL Service account (we use a domain account for that the same accross the 3 servers) we also use mixed mode due to a lot of legacy apps.

Do i need to just make a new domain account and keep it only for DB Mirroring if so what happens if the account expires?

Overall i can not seem to find one straigt answer on this and i am sure it something simple any help would be great.

Cheers

SQL Server service account.

Since you're using the same domain account for all involved servers you'll be fine
