Good day all. I could really use some direction on some issues.

I attempted to install SQL Server 2005 Reporting Services 64-bit Standard Edition on and Windows Server 2008 r2 64-bit machine. So, I was able to get all the necessary pre reqisites setup and got stuck in the configuration Menu. The Web Service Identity is blank and I am not sure how to get around this. Haven't found any really solid answer on the net.

Now, for my main issue. I decided to unistall the reporting services instance on the server above, note that the dataase engine is on a separate server. Anyhow, the unistall seemed to work just fine. So I went to reinstall and after that I tried to upgrade to SP3 and noticed that my old instance was being upgraded as well. As it turns out my original named instance remained and is active on this server. I have seen a couple similar posts for my same server configuration and reporting services package and they two are having the same exact issue and haven't found or got a solution.

I am hoping someoen knows or can point me to an article on how to successfully unistall the reporting services and then one how to correctly install and more importantly configure reporting services on the server.

Thanks.
