I want to create a backup job in SQL Server 2005 and i want it to act as follows: 1. Check for users connected to the database 2. notify them (by mail) to log out within a specified period (say 5 mins) 3. logout/disconnect all connected users to the database 4. backup the database 5. And verify the backup. I have an idea of how to go about each individual tasks... but puting them to work together isnt clear to me. Its very urgent... i need help. Regards. Tola |

Use SQL Server Agent to schedule the tasks. |

Why do you want to disconnect all users while backing up database? It shouldn't hamper the activities. |
