Just a quick question and some advice really.I currently have two sql instances which backup the main databases overnight but at the same time of 9pm - the backups are saved to the same drive but in seperate folders. However one of the two instances overnight jobs is constantly failing, my question is because they are starting at the same time would this affect anything despite them being two seperate windows and sql servers.--------------------------SQL Server MCP & MCTS |

No, what does SQL Agent give you as an error message? What do the error logs themselves (under SQL Agent) tell you about the failure (Is there an error code etc)? |

Thanks guys for the answers, i'll do some more investigation into the error messsagesjust thought i'd ask the question to double check, as I was also under the impression that running two jobs at the same time didn't cause any undue affect on each other. Thanks for you time though --------------------------SQL Server MCP & MCTS |
