I'm working on installer development. We have a cutomized SQL express installer, which we need to use in all our desktops.
What i want is, after the installation of the same i need to create an new instance from outside either through some sripts or by creating some exe.

Is this possible. If anyone can help. it will be really thankfull.

Thanks in advance

I only know the way to install sql server and one of the steps while installing is to make it an instance.
I don't know the way to make an instance on already installed sql server, I think it is not possible.

No, you're never too old to Yak'n'Roll if you're too young to die.

Thanks for the quick answer. Then can you please guide me in how to create 2 instances? So that while installing itself i will create 2 instances.
Hope to listen from you soon.

You can't create two instances in one go. After installing the first one, run the setup file again and it will guide you through the process to create a second instance. Hope that helps.
