| We have a new server setup which is a 2008 server with SQL 2008 Express. How do I move all my old databases from the old SQL 2005 Express databases into the new SQL 2008 express server. |

| Two choices:1. Attach/Detach(My favorite)2. Backup/RestoreYou need to be careful with the first method. Best Practice: Detach the 2005 database, make a copy of it. Attach it back to 2005 again, then proceed to attach the "copy" to 2008.I hope that helps. |
