Backup 2008 and restore on 2005

Hello,
we are migrating servers and got a temp server to serve as an intermediate pending the migration is complete

Is it possible to backup a 2008 db to ( make it compatible ) with a 2005

As thats our only option for now

Ok if thats the only solution, then i think my approach might be better.

am doing an export of tables, although the relationships might not be exported. its just for the period of the migration which will be a few hours.
