A hundred miles on bike is very good, but doable for someone in good condition.A hundred miles on a horse in one day is extremely difficult. I knew a guy who won a trophy for riding 100 miles in 24 hours and he was very proud of it. It takes a great effort by both horse and rider.A hundred miles on a Yak...?CODO ERGO SUM |

If you were wearing your wedding gown (riding side-saddle) then I'd be even more impressed Be One with the OptimizerTG |

An average person rides a bicycle about 12 miles per hour, so Jez's 100 mile ride could take about 8 hours. N 56°04'39.26"E 12°55'05.63" |

I've done 120 in a day, and it took about 8 hours. You should be able to cruise between 18 and 20 on flat stretches. How in the world would riding a horse be more arduous than riding a bike?Seriously.________________________________________________If it is not practically useful, then it is practically useless.________________________________________________ |

It's arduous for the horse. They can't keep up the kind of speed that you can on a bicycle over that period of time, especially carrying a rider and saddle. They also have a be walked a certain amount of time, and have to be fed and watered.CODO ERGO SUM |

this was on a bike, not a horse or yak! pedaling time was 6.75 hrs total time was 7.5 hours because I stopped a couple times for water and to pick blackberries! this was difficult because the vines kept snagging my dress... elsasoft.org |

It's arduous for the horse.
Sure, for the horse. But you said earlier it was arduous for both the horse and the rider.________________________________________________If it is not practically useful, then it is practically useless.________________________________________________ |

a horse dont have shocks and struts. it is a very bumpy ride... you have to hold on to the horse with your legs, even in a saddle. it gets tough.http://weblogs.sqlteam.com/jeffs/archive/2008/05/13/question-needed-not-answer.aspxHow to ask: http://weblogs.sqlteam.com/brettk/archive/2005/05/25.aspxFor ultra basic questions, follow these links.http://www.sql-tutorial.net/ http://www.firstsql.com/tutor.htm http://www.w3schools.com/sql/default.asp |
