i have created an index view , and is working fine. earlier we were not creating an index view only normal views were created so when i compared the query execution time in case of index view and earlier case(view not indexed),the results were :a) incase of data retreival query ex,(select * ...search criteria) the indexed view is far better b) but in case of record count ex(select count(*) ...search criteria)the indexed view is slow. what is the probable reason for it , index helps in searching only or in data retreival also |
