Also, www.sqlsecurity.com has some really good info. They have some good checklists for securing SQL Server as well as common attacks and vunerabilities.

Also, if you are serious about security, you might want to look at setting up an Intrusion Detection System (IDS). The is an open source free IDS called Snort www.snort.org that is worth a look.
