A bit meaningles without knowing what type oif levels you are talking about.datawarehouse and datamarts are often considered different levels (I stay away from the term datawarehouse as a physical item).Associating with Kimball I would think of levels of granularity, Inmon probably summarisation levels (could be the same thing I guess).From your examples I would guesssource datastaging area (I wouldn't include this as it is a transient work area and doesn't impact the functionality)repositorydimensional databasesdatamartscubesreportsclient applications==========================================Cursors are useful if you don't know sql.DTS can be used in a similar way.Beer is not cold and it isn't fizzy. |
