HI All,

This is very complex situation, We have a SQL Server 2000 Cluster(Active/Active), 1 node is Development another is Production.
We have to upgrade this SQL 2008. being Dev & Prod node. we cannot upgrade at same time, client asked us to upgrade Dev Node later they will go with Production node.
How to proceed on this. please help.

Thanks

thats a crazy setup you have.. who ever made that genius of a decision.. if some developer installs some SP on the DEV instance and reboots the nodes your prod server can go down or lose failover capability.

you can upgrade the prod instance to 2008 leaving toe DEV on 2000. just run the setup on both nodes and make sure you choose the right instance. it should be fairly straight forward.. SP1 is out btw so you might want to install that too.
