Dear Techies,

I have windows 2008 Enterprise Edition Installed on 2 servers and windows clustering is configured on that 2 servers as well. Now I want to install SQL server 2005 on that Windows 2008 cluster environment.

I am testing the installation of SQL server 2005 clustering on a Windows server Fail Over cluster. The server 2008 cluster setup went smoothly and I set up a cluster server for the SQL Disks. The Installation options for SQL Cluster are all accepted and everything looks good till I get to the actual Installation. And the setup begins, I don’t know suddenly the status for all products went to red X state and it showing “The installation was canceled by the user".

About week back I was stuck with this problem. i don’t think so their is some thing wrong on my installation. And also I am requesting you for Detailed Document for MS-SQL 2005 installation on Windows 2008 Fail Over Cluster.

Anyway please help me to solve this issue.

Any help will be Highly Appreciated.

Regards,
Phani Kumar .B

Go to bootstrap/logs file and look at error in last log file. See if there is any error in Windows event log.
