I have installed SQL 2008 32bit in a new machine with Windows 2003 x64 with 6GB of RAM, 2 QuadCore Processor and 2 Disk in RAID 1.

after a few minute that i start sql server, in a network environment with 15 client, sql server slow down machine and keep seconds to run a query, open a folder, etc.. even if the cpu is above 5% of usage.

When I restart SQL Server service the machine resume to it's normal performance.

I tried to modify memory and processor settings, but nothing to do.
What can I do? Any suggestion?

Thanks and sorry if my english is bad

I downloaded a beta version just to see how it all is. It slowed down my machine too.. Am running it on a laptop, but sql 2005 or 2000 works fine without slowing any other processes.
