Hi all, I have a new server, all shiney and ready for me to scratch it getting it into a corner of our data center.. or should i call it a cupboard with aircon!I have 6 disks to play with.. and was considering a set up somthing like this..disk 1 and 2 18 gig, mirrored for the OS and the base install of sql serverdisk 3 and 4 and 5 72 gig each - raid 5, striped for the datadisk 6 9 gig, temp, and logsI know spliting stuff up is good, but am i chasing the right split here, and is it the best use of our limited disks, etc..any push in the right direction would be good!Nathan(Aberbotimue) |

Isn't 9 GB for disk 6 (TempDB and Log) too less? You need to have more space available for Log and TempDB as SQL 2005 uses more TempDB than SQL 2000. |
