Author  Topic  derrick Starting Member 1 Post Posted - 2009-02-06 : 12:51:26 i'm sure this is a simple problem but i haven't been able to find info anywhere. I have installed SBS 2008 standard and later installed SQL server in the same box. The DB is accesible fine from within the box but i am unable to find it outside from clients that are included in the domain. I hace created exceptions in the firewall and the surface area config is also open. I have not been able to telnet the ip of the clients with port 1433 either.The errors i get when i try to create ODBC connection client is: SQL State 08001 SQL Server Error: 17 Server doesn't exist PLEASE HELP !!!!
