is it just me, or did Mr Obama's speach sound like the legendary speech of John F Kennedyquote: And so, my fellow Americans: ask not what your country can do for you - ask what you can do for your country.
Mr Obama saidquote: freely United states don't show it's true nature during good times, USA show it's true nature during bad/hard times. You can help us showing the world the true nature of USA.

well let's wait what will he say tommorow. in a way i feel soory for the guy... the media is treating him like some kind of a savior. the expectations are set really really high and it'll be really tough to live up to them.___________________________________________________________________________Causing trouble since 1980Blog: http://weblogs.sqlteam.com/mladenpSpeed up SSMS development: www.ssmstoolspack.com <- version 1.1 out! |

I think he was paraphrasing the movie "Apollo 13":"With all due respect, sir, I believe this is gonna be our finest hour"________________________________________________If it is not practically useful, then it is practically useless.________________________________________________ |

That's what I've been telling anyone who'll listen. Things weren't messed up overnight (not even solely during the 8 years of GWB) and will not be fixed overnight. We have to give Obama time and if things POINT upwards, great. I don't believe he'll fix things in 4 years but if things are on the upswing, it'll be good. Too many people see this as an automatic economic/social fix - they're in for some major heartache.Terry-- Procrastinate now! |

There are no simple solutions to our problems, so we should not be looking for a savior to make a few simple changes and fix everything."There is always a well-known solution to every human problem--neat, plausible, and wrong." H. L. Mencken, Prejudices: Second Series, 1920 CODO ERGO SUM |

Obama wasn't my first choice. I'm happy to admit I was wrong about him. I am impressed by him more each day. Closing guantanamo and changing the FOIA process from "deny all you can" to "release as much as you can" on day one are better than I imagined. It's just amazing to see a bunch of smart, competant people taking the reins and cleaning up the mess. It will take a while but I think they're on the right track. Now that it's been revealed that all journalists were spied on, I think Obama may have to pardon Bush and Cheney. I think the news media is going to wake up from its stupor and push for investigations and indictments. The Bush nightmare is over.An infinite universe is the ultimate cartesian product. |
