Hi All - I installed SQL2005std and set-up log-shipping from prod for DR, and its working fine. However I used my own login - and am getting a message about my account expiring today :-( oops!

I have gotton hold of a login used for the services of an unrelated sql-server for the same customer on the same domain (who's p/w I guess will most likely not need changing - so often).

Question: how easy is it for me to change the login used by sql-server? I could just change the services to use this new account - but is there anything else? Will this break log-shipping? The DR server isn't used my anyone yet - so I guess I could flatten-it and start again with the new account?

You should be OK changing the run-as user for all of SQL's services, but make sure to do this through SQL Server Configuration Manager as opposed to services.msc. SSCM will take care of settings that aren't visible in services.msc. If you have any replication or Agent jobs set up, you'll need to reset the owners there separately.
